Uncommon Templates

What do we think of the uncommon templates? Because almost all of our gender pages have the uncommon template, (as most genders are uncommon) is it necessary, or are we just stating the obvious? Please reply with you’re opinion on this! ^^
For those who don’t know what I mean by the ‘uncommon template’ this is a screenshot of it:

I dont think it matters either way, since yes a lot of them are uncommon, and some may like to know if it is, but on the other hand, i honestly dont think it matters if it’s there or not
Gender is gender yk some more common than others, but usually uncommon genders are kind of a common sense thing
Though, as i said, some may like to know if it is or isnt, or just generally dont have a clue if it is or not

My main problem with the template is that it takes up quite a lot of space, especially when there are other templates on the page as well. I don’t think that it is very harmful or anything, I just don’t think it is very necessary or worth the time it takes to add it to all the pages.

I don’t like them, they are distracting from the page, and as @Fragmented Dreams said, many of the genders are uncommon and we can’t have an accurate way of knowing if many people know what a term means.

I mean honestly, I don’t really care about whether it’s there or not. You can kinda tell if a gender is uncommon, but maybe it would be helpful to someone who’s new to gender and stuff? Idk.

I don’t really like these, because not only are they incompatible with dark mode, which is annoying, I agree that almost all genders are uncommon.

I don’t really have an opinion. But as Helen said, almost all genders are uncommon

@Blankdango And why say gender variant and not transgender, gender non conforming and non binary people. I understand their trying to shorten it but why not say non cis people.

Hmm. Maybe we could have a part of all pages with a “commonness scale”?

@Qenu
The reason we say gender-variant rather than that is because it’s 1, it’s shorter, and 2, can apply to more people, wheres what you suggest may not apply to everyone in some rare cases, and may also mislead people who are newer to the LGBTQ community.
Edit: Also, gender-variant works well, and essentially means the same thing as non-cis people, (except for the fact that some people may identify partially as cis and partially as not cis) so there isn’t really a reason to change it.

@BoHere by non cis i mean not fully cis

@Qenu
Got it! Then again, if that’s what you mean, that would need specific clarification.

@BoHere ok then!
